Hi there friends,
Welcome to my blog and I hope that you will drop by frequently to catch up on what's happening in my world.
Well I guess my blog title tells it all, so as you may have guessed I am pregnant. I found out yesterday and I am still reeling from the shock! I have 6 wonderful children aged 17, 15, 14, 11, 10 & 5 and as far as I was concerned, my family was complete. But it appears that God had other plans in mind! This was definately an unplanned pregnancy and as I am now 43, I can only imagine what lies ahead of me over the next 9 months. I will definately be having a caesaren as I have already had 2 and the doctors informed me after the last one that "3 strikes and your out!" So any subsequent deliveries would be automatically a caesar. The thought of facing another pregnancy at such a mature age is daunting to say the least, but I know that it's been done before and so I am not alone.
As you can imagine, I'm a bit blown away by it all at the moment. I was toying with the idea of keeping a diary, but I figured why keep a diary for me, when I can share what I'm going through with the whole world!! Must be the performer coming out in me again! LOL (I was a singer in my pre-family life). I hope that sharing this journey will be of some use to other women who may find themselves in the same situation and perhaps my experiences will be of encouragement.
Well, for those who have stumbled over this site and don't know me, here's a little background...
As stated I am now 43 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband B for nearly 19 years. We have 6 fantastic children and we live in rural Queensland on a beautiful 50 acre property. We keep horses, goats, chooks, ducks and geese. We have 4 dogs and 2 cats and one recently acquired cow named Penny. It is an idylic lifestyle and the perfect place to raise children.
I don't get to the computer too often as there's always a qeue waiting to go on line, but I plan to update at least once a week. So, please visit again and I look forward to sharing with you the road ahead.
Cheers,
D'vorah
